About Us
Troast-Legan Development Group, LLC is a renovation and development company that forms joint ventures with investment groups and provide the necessary real estate development expertise and services to build and sell the projects. The company was founded and will be operated by Paul Troast who has built over $4B of projects over the last 25 years in the tri-state area and Steve Legan who has developed and operated a number of hospitality businesses in New York City over 15 years. The initial services the company offers is to source and analyze potential projects with the intent to develop these properties. When a suitable project is found, we will joint venture with an investment group and use our expertise and contacts to build and complete the project in a timely manner and on budget.
The company’s CEO and President Paul Troast and Director of Development Steve Legan will represent the company’s interests on the ground. The company will outsource services such as architectural, general contracting and expediting to qualified and reputable companies using Paul’s extensive business network. Some of our in house services include research and analysis of potential properties, procurement of suitable properties, acting as a liaison with financial institutions, working alongside architects and designers during the development and renovation process, monitoring project progress with the general contractor and project team, working with the marketing agency and real estate broker to sell property and representing the company’s interests to all relevant parties.
Paul Troast
CEO
Paul is an accomplished construction management professional with diverse experience on large-scale industrial, commercial and residential projects. He has managed the performance of different parties, including architects, engineers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, expeditors, specialty consultants and attorneys.
His projects have involved new building construction, renovations, tenant build- outs and interiors, encompassing LEED rated luxury residential buildings, manufacturing plants, warehouse facilities, research laboratories, health care centers, retail stores, and landmark structures. He led construction and design teams on various delivery methods, such as Design/Build GMAX, Construction Management at Risk, Agency Construction Management and Program Management. Throughout his career, Paul has developed productive working relationships with owners, developers, suppliers, tenants, and government officials at the Federal, State and local levels.
Steve Legan
Director of Development
Steve started his career in the restaurant and brewery industry and has15 years of site development and operational management experience. During this time he honed his skills on finding sites, raising investment and assisting with the complex build out of two microbrewery locations and three restaurants in Manhattan. During the build out process, he was a project manager and assisted with the design and construction of these sites.
His last seven years have been dedicated to his real estate career where he has had experience in business plan development for condominium and mixed use real estate projects managing many aspects of project research and analysis.
